The dr. looked at Lk's back because I found a small lump on his vertebrae that I was worried about but he said it's fine and looked at the one on his neck again and said there is nothing to worry about. So that's the most important thing.
However, he was concerned to see Lk flailing and crying hysterically from the moment we stepped into the exam room until about 3/4 of the visit was over. He wondered about a pathological social anxiety disorder and I swear he was on the verge of referring him to a child psychiatrist. I had to explain (over the screaming and wailing) that he's not normally like this at other places at all, he's only like this at the doctor or the dentist. In short, he's afraid of pain and needles. It's such an unpleasant experience for me to bring him in that I myself need an anti-anxiety pill just to get through it.
The hours long wait to see the doctor, the fighting between the boys over any new toy they both want in the waiting room, their fear of being examined by a stranger, the major expense of my copays, their flu nasal spray (they didn't even need shots!) it all ads up to a whole lotta stress on momma here. I'm embarassed to say I drank 5 bulldogs at the pub after work with K. Today I'm just super tired.
Next up will be the swine flu shots at the end of Oct at the health clinic...can't wait for that visit...

Oh man...I bet you dread those well check ups too and having to take Lk. Hopefully it is just a phase!! LOL... Glad you were able to unwind and go out for drinks after work. :o) Man...the joys of mommyhood. I'm really in for it now!!!!
Poor Lky...Seems alot like my Tobey was after all of his encounters with doctors when he was small..Lm sounds like he is built just like Brennyn, but then we have to keep in mind they they are the REAL twins anyway! :) Sorry it was so crappy, but happy to hear that they are right on target and that you were able to grab some drinks later on. I WISH!!!
Lol. Poor thing! I cry when I go to the dentist's, too--when I see the bill, that is, ba-da-bing!
