First Professional Haircuts

On Tuesday night, Liam and Luke had their first ever professional haircuts. You can tell by the "before" pictures that they definitely needed it. My hairdresser handled it pretty well! When we first came into the salon, Luke was clinging to me and Liam of course was just his usual curious cat self, looking all over the place.

She has a big mirror in the place so I was able to snap photos through the mirror. They each sat on my lap for their haircuts to have the security they needed.

I had Liam go first because he doesn't usually wig out as much with new experiences. But he really DID wig out at this one. I let him wear my shades to try to distract him but he was inconsolable! I think he didn't like the sound of the razor near his head...

He was a little traumatized...
Once the razor stopped the the trimming began, his tears dried up a little...

All done, Liam checks himself out in the mirror.

"Can we go now?"

Luke looked very serious once it was his turn.

But he didn't cry one single tear, my brave boy!

He's meditating...that, or else he is trying to avoid getting hair in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Liam waits on Grandma's lap. She wanted to be there for this special occasion. He sure was proud of himself once it was all over.

Luke gets the finishing touches.

This short cut reminds me of when he was about 5 to 8 months old. He was born bald and was bald the first 4 months of his life. Then it grew in all even and perfect.

Liam hams it up with Grandma!

I love this picture of Liam and Grandma!

Liam thinks he's pretty dang cool!

Luke meanwhile is thrilled with his new 'do! All night he kept touching his hair and saying, "Haircut." Looking at the floor here you can see how a lot was taken off. This will be perfect for them for spring and Easter!

From now on I think I would like to take my guys to have their hair professionally cut. At least every other time. It gets so messy at home with my trying to do it and it doesn't come out as nice. For $10 each plus tip, I think this is the route we will take from now on!

Yes, looks GREAT! I take my little ones too! It is definitely worth it. Our hair place lets them sit is a car and watch a movie while they get a cut so that they pass the time faster...MUCH easier than home!

Those pics are SO awesome! They sure don't look like babies after their haircuts - definitely more like little boys. Very sweet!

Looks like quite an adventure. Are they liking their cuts now?
