Tall Tower & Pla-doh Skies

Over the weekend, my guys built the tallest Lego tower they've ever assembled! It's even taller than they are. I was impressed they got it this far and let me take a picture of it before yelling, "Oh no!" and diving into it. "Uh-oh! It fall!" they exclaim as if someone else toppled it over.

Lm stands proudly by their creation...

Final touches.

When they were done with the Legos I told them to help Mommy put them back in the box.

But instead, Lm wanted to climb in himself...

It got up to 50 on Saturday so we spent a lot of time outside. Lm is really interested in anything to do with astronomy. While we were outside before dusk, he saw the white moon crescent in the sky and pointed and said, "Over there! The moon!" Then if an airplane went by he got excited about that too. Maybe I'll take them to the planetarium this summer--they'd love it!

Sunday was a bit cooler and so I got out the Pla-doh in the afternoon instead of going outside. We have a kit that comes with a press so they can make "spaghetti" with it. At first Lk was scared of it, he thought it odd to see the Pla-doh "moving".
Lm liked the colors and he took a bite out of the pink. I had to pry it out of his mouth before he swallowed it.

"That's a star!" Lm said. He LOVES stars.

We made these shapes out of the pla-doh "strings." I left them out until they were distracted eating their dinner, then put them all back in the containers.

It'll be nice once spring/summer is here so that we bring this kind of activity outside on the front porch instead of embedding it in the carpet.

Play-dough. What memories. I remember one time when we were really little, some play-dough got stuck on Mom's parlor couch and not found until it dried there. Uh-oh. I think it's edible. From what I remember, lol, it's VERY salty. LOL.

Looks like the boys had a fun filled weekend indoors! I want to get Hannah that play dough kit, but I think I will wait till she's 2. She just has the shape cutters and other accessories. Cute photos of your creative boys!
