Result of Meetings Galore Dilemma

As promised, I am regaling you with the titillating details of yesterday's morning meeting in which we had to drum up ideas on how to show up at 10:30 on the dot for our team meets.

The moderator, who is a consultant (need I say more?) actually went out and purchased a clock to hang above the meeting room door, high enough for everyone to see. Now, lest you think I am exaggerating, I have snapped a photo of it and posted below for your viewing pleasure...

We each had to go around the room and make a suggestion and come to an agreement as a team what to do. Some important questions came up:
  • If no one is in the room at 10:30, should the moderator start it anyway?
  • Should we lock the door at 10:32, so no one else can get in?
  • If Google time is wrong, and our network desktop time is off, and the phones are down, what then? (Hence, the new clock above.)

Some conclusions:

  • Pouring a cup of coffee is not a good reason to be a minute late.
  • Not showing up at all is better than being late.
  • But, please, show up.
