Orchard Fun

On Saturday I took my guys and met Heather and Z at the orchard to pick raspberries and walk around. We had a wonderful time. Here's a great shot she took of Lm...

It's taken me an hour just to prime the photos and load them so they are only in semi-order here. Lm picking an apple from one of the trees...

In the berry patch, cool Miss Z and my Lm...

They are buds...

Awww......so sweet!

Lk picked an apple and ate all including the core, I think...

It's hard to get all 3 together for a perfect pic.

Under the trellis-way (or tunnel or whatever it's called).

Lk pulled a fast one on me! I let him hold the container as we all picked berries. He was so proud of himself and it warmed my heart to see him all proud that he was picking the right ones and putting them in our container. But then...

...that little turkey hands me an empty container out of the blue! I go, What did you do with the berries?! He pointed to some leaves. "WHERE ARE THEY? Did you pour them in Z's bucket?" He shook his head and pointed again. Sure enough, on the ground of a nearby thicket, there they were! I got all scratched up crawling under there with the garden snakes, etc to retrieve the berries that I could.

After that, Mommy held the berry container!

Z looks on after Lm steals her sunglasses...

Last night he wore his own sunglasses to bed. He just loves wearing hats and glasses!

I love this shot of Luke!

Gorgeous flower backdrop!

In the tunnel again...

Here's a good shot with my camera (the new camera that is NOT to be touched by anyone under the age of like 25)!

Mommy looks on as her twinkies ramble under the tunnel.

Heather got this shot of them walking the beam!

Next we walked the long trail through the whole orchard.

Would this not make a great poster with some cloying, inspiring quote beneath it??

Next we treated the kids to lunch at the local restaurant. The service there is tortoise-slow and they were bouncing off the walls (and under the table).

When we got home I hoped they would take nice long naps for me but Lk was so excited he wouldn't go down and then finally he snoozed for 40 minutes. I hope they are not growing out of their afternoon naps just yet!

Kids and Electronics + a good use for Ducktape

I found this picture on another blog and thought it is not a bad idea after some of the shenanigans my boys have pulled over the last few months regarding my electronicsl

My blog should be back in action here as I got a new camera yesterday. Took me 2 hours to get it over my noon hour. I got a Cannon Power shot again, having lost all hope of finding the old one as I am sure one of them threw it in the trash on trash day 2 weeks ago. The boys are not allowed within a 10 foot distance from it unless I am taking their picture!

They are a danger with electronics, having dismembered all 4 flashlights in my car, dunking my cell phone in milk and wrecking it, Lm this week wrote with permanent marker all over my PC monitor (anyone know how to get that off??) and also breaking a Vornado fan (not sure how he pulled that one off) and pushed all the buttons on my dishwasher so that now this light is flashing on it and I don't know how to get it to stop.

They jammed my DVD player by trying to load it with 2 DVDs and I had to really work with it to get it going again. Then awhile back Lk changed my TV settings to Spanish and it took a hell of a lot of work to get that right.

They know they are NOT allowed in my bedroom which is also the computer room and last night I was in the bathroom all of 40 seconds when Lk bursts in and goes, "Mommy, Lm's stuck! He's stuck!" There he was, wedged in the small trash can in my room with his head stuck under my nighttable lamp trying to unscrew the bulb and pull the cord! "Help!" he cried. "I'm stuck!" This would've made a hilarious photo if I had my new camera up and running!

God, deliver me...

Lky Sleeping

I took these pictures a few days ago and forgot to post them. This was back in the day when I still had a camera of course. Yes, my Lky still sleeps in a crib. He climbs in by himself but doesn't try to get out. He obeys his mommy some of the time! Here is my sweetie sleeping--isn't he precious? I get a kick out of the way he has his legs through the bars and sleeps the short way on his mattress sometimes.

To me, when he is sleeping he looks just like he did when he was a newborn baby. I love my little guys!

Update with no pictures

Still without a camera over here, so will have to talk about my little guys without the benefit of having captured them in daguerreotype over the weekend. :)

Saturday my guys went to the park, then I went to an estate sale while they slept for a couple of hours. I'm hooked on those things now. That night I went out to eat at a restaurant near the local lake as it's probably for the last time this season; it's such a gorgeous spot. Sunday we just hung out and played in the pool and they played more with their "new" kitchen. They fought over a cheap toy from Burger King until I took it away. Yesterday I took the day off to get more done on the basement, but I'd need about 2 wks off to get it totally done. I also was able to get the water out and refill the pool and put more chlorine in. So last night the water was a bit chilly but they both still wanted to go in it and brought their watering cans in and pretended to water the grass surrounding the pool. I'm a little biased but I think my guys get cuter each day! This morning they both jumped into my bed while I was getting ready for work and pretended to sleep and snore; they are a riot!

My Camera, R.I.P. & Thieves By Day

This week I was planning to post my pictures from the Green Day concert. But I can't.

My nice digital camera that I relied on daily is now gone. R.I.P. Each day I've hoped for a miracle but St. Anthony has not found it for me. The last I saw it was last Saturday on a high shelf. Lky said, "Mommy's camera" and I said, "Yes, that's Mommy's camera. You have your own play camera and don't touch mommy's." Next I looked, it was gone. Unfortunately it was a day where I took a nap when the boys did as I was so exhausted. When I woke up, the garbage had been taken. My guess is that he took it and threw it in the trash. I'm heartbroken.

Not only due to the cost of a new camera (the photos below are from borrowing a friend's) but that my Green Day concert photos were on there. It was only the best concert of my entire life and they are my favorite band. I was like a wild teenager dancing in the aisles and screaming. Got some great shots but before I could download them.....no camera.

Usually at night after my guys are in bed, I go in and watch them sleep for awhile, in awe over my precious little guys and what little miracles they are. That night I went in and thought, "One of these little sh**'s threw my camera in the trash!!" I've searched the house over, and nada.

What's more, that very day I took the boys to a sale and got something they've always wanted, a play kitchen. It's nothing fancy, it's used and not new, but Lm loves the play telephone and makes lots of important calls. They love to "cook" in the oven and store their bulldozers in the microwave (see photo below). The thanks I get is that they threw my camera in the trash!

This is 2 cameras now that Lk has ruined. First was Heather's last summer when he fell in the water and she had to rescue him while her camera was on her wrist and it got wet and wrecked. Now this one. Not to mention dunking my cell phone in his cup of milk and I had to get a new one. Nothing is safe around these urchins!

"I'm cute, but destructive..."

Do these guys look like they would wreck a camera or cell phone? Hmmm...

"Where's Mommy's camera?" I asked. "I don't see it," Lk said. Then later I asked again and he said he would go get it. He came back with his play camera and goes "Say cheese!" and took a pretend picture. Lovely.

Lm and his fire station puzzle.

And mommy with no camera! Still hoping for a miracle. I'm taking Monday off work, sending them to daycare and plan to thoroughly clean the house and search once again for closure before I buy a new one. With my birthday 2 wks away I hope someone buys me one though.
